The Totalitarian-Fascist Mindset: Stella Morabito on social control

Earlier this week, I was fortunate enough to find this clip of Stella Morabito talking about how the control of conversations between individuals is the ultimate goal of (what I call) the totalitarian-fascists, how attempts at such control are manifest in the western world, and how to push back against them.

More and more, I am seeing the depth of wisdom and understanding incorporated in George Orwell’s 1984. Especially regarding his understanding of the psychology of (some) people’s need for power and control, their ability to use any social institutions, arguments or ideas to push for this control, and their obsession with controlling not just people’s actions, but their conversations, beliefs and, ultimately, their thoughts.

This clip is, I think, the culmination for the moment of my exploration of this topic. Ms Morabito says it so well. There is more to investigate here, but at present there is a tremendous amount of material to digest and ponder. However, as always I welcome your thoughts.
